Consumption of beer worldwide is estimated to be around 125 billions liters per year, i.e. not less than 50,000 Olympic pools.

Details:

Estimation based on amounts ranging from 114 to 132 GL of beer per year in comparison with a 2.5 million liters Olympic pool (50 m length x 25 m width x 2 m depth – IOC Norms)
