Peugeot faster than Porsche
By Papik92 (Translasted by scudo) - July 23, 2010

The Porsche 901 presented at the Frankfurt exhibition in 1963 was removed from the market at the beginning of its production in may 1964. Indeed, Peugeot company had already registered all car names with 3 digits and a zero in the middle.

Details:

This didn't stop the success of this car, now known as a myth: the Porsche 911.

The central zero of the Peugeot was originally used to put the crank (like in 302 or 402) or recently to open the rear trunk (307CC, 407, 607).
