The longest day
By Yugnat (Translasted by Minizyl) - Aug. 24, 2010

On Venus, a day is longer than a year.

Details:

This is true considering sidereal days, as Venus needs 243 terrestrial days to rotate around itself, and 224.7 to complete its revolution around the sun.
A Venusian year thus lasts 0.924 Venusian day.
Yet, because of the retrograde rotation, the revolution of the planet around the sun is added to its rotation and a solar day (the time between two sunrises) lasts only 117 terrestrial days.
