In the USA, a federal law made it illegal to have contact with “extraterrestrials or their vehicles”. Enforcement of the law led to a fine of 5000 dollars or a one year prison term.
Details :
It was removed from the Code of Federal Regulations in 1991 (not so long ago). It had been adopted in 1969 to prevent biological contamination by objects or men returning from space by enforcing a quarantine.
Nowadays, anyone could hang around with aliens and no one would care. Our world is falling apart.
