A cow with a name produces more milk than one without.


Scientists at (serious) Newcastle University published a study which proves that cows also feel happier and more relaxed if they are given a bit more one-to-one attention.
Stress causes the secretion of a hormone called cortisol which can impair milk production. As a consequence, reducing the level of stress leads to an increase in milk yield.
