Orson Welles asked Walt Disney to make an adaptation of “The Little Prince” with him. Walt Disney refused.

Details:

Welles’ script, written in 1942, included his participation as the pilot in filmed parts, and cartoon parts directed by Walt Disney. Walt Disney, concerned that Welles might overshadow him, pretended “There is no room for two genuises in this company!”
